How do we measure what matters? At First Christian Church of North Hollywood, we see it in children growing in faith, teenagers serving their neighbors, and people discovering they have a place to belong. Your financial support helps make this possible.
Growing faith in our children and youth
Over the past year, an estimated 67 children and youth participated in our Christmas pageant, and 20 children attended Vacation Bible School. The VBS children wanted it to last all day, every day—a beautiful sign that learning about Jesus can be joyful.
That faith becomes action. Thirty elementary-age children assembled 25 backpacks and 50 snack bags for Home Again LA, using congregational donations. Thirteen young people on our 2026 mission trip helped prepare and distribute hundreds of food bags. Our middle schoolers also bake cookies each month for Feeding in the Park.
These experiences teach our young people: You are loved. You belong. You have something to offer.

Feeding neighbors and offering hope
Our Human Needs ministry serves approximately 150–200 people at its monthly meal in North Hollywood Park. The North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry, a partnership hosted on our campus, distributes approximately 300 bags of food each week.
Behind those numbers are people. One neighbor recently thanked Debra from Human Needs for feeding him when he and his girlfriend were living in their car. Now employed and housed, he remembered the care that had given him hope.
This is Jesus’ teaching taking shape among us: “I was hungry and you gave me food” (Matthew 25:35).
Building community and extending care
In 2025, more than 40 tree-lot volunteers raised $20,000 for programs supporting children, including food, education, adaptive bicycles, camp opportunities, and foster care support.
Each week, approximately 12–16 women gather online through Woman 2 Woman for prayer and connection. One participant unable to attend church because of illness described the group as a lifeline.
Through worship, music, small groups, and pastoral care, we help one another carry grief, celebrate joy, and find strength for what comes next.
Some of what matters can be counted. Some can only be told.

Checks and bank bill-pay gifts avoid credit-card processing fees. Recurring credit-card, debit-card, or ACH gifts can help make generosity a consistent practice.
