Summer Camps for Kids
Each summer FCCNH hosts a variety of camps that nurture, teach, develop and enable children to explore and discover their talents. Camps include Music, Dance Fitness, Drama, Photography, Art and Vacation Bible School. Instructors are professionals who nurture and mentor the children. The FCCNH summer camps began over a decade ago and now attract hundreds of kids to this incredible experience of fun and exploration. Be sure to get your reservation in early as these camps fill up quickly.

Every summer our campus is alive with spirited explorations for youngsters. Camp has never been more expanding, uplifting… or FUN! We know you will want to consider our fun, wholesome, and affordable opportunities for your children!

Musical Theater Camp
A far-out fairytale for the whole family! What happens when your favorite fairytale characters meet outside of the stories you already know and love? What if princesses don’t want a prince to save them? Will the Witch ruin everything? Or will the Fairy Godmother be able to fix things? Come and find out! Join us as we sing, dance, and act our hearts out on stage! This camp combines the joy of music, the excitement of dance, and the imagination of acting into a special musical theatre experience for young performers. Cast members will get an opportunity to share their own unique talents through rehearsing, and performing a totally original Broadway-style musical theatre production. We will have a performance Friday night, June 21, and a matinee performance on Sunday, June 23. This camp is open to Grades 3-12.
Photography camp is a half-day camp from 9am-12:30pm, with the option of staying for Advanced Photography in the afternoons from 12:30-3pm (bring a lunch for Advanced Photography). Campers have the opportunity to learn the basics of digital photography through daily demonstrations and hands on sessions in camera operation, composition, lighting, and seeing with an artistic eye. Each day they will shoot photos around the church campus using the information they have been presented. We are also planning a local walking field trip. Campers can bring their own camera so they can learn its functionality. If not, we have cameras to share. SD cards are provided. Camp concludes with a gallery showing on Friday at 12:30pm. This camp is open to Grades 3-12.
This is a half-day camp from 9am to 12:30pm (after care is available until 3pm). Dust off your dancing shoes! This year’s Dance/Fit Camp is a celebration of all things active, musical, and fun. Let’s start the day with a smile and get excited about getting healthy! Toes will be tapping as kids check out cool classes in contemporary dance, funky hip-hop, super stretching, and energetic yoga. This camp is open to Grades K– 6. NO camp on July 4th.
Kids’ Culinary Camp 101: Cooking for the Very Small. Grades K-3
This is a half-day camp from 9am-12:30pm (after care is available until 3pm). Who doesn’t love food? Join us for a deliciously different culinary adventure. Cooking is fun for everyone! The younger grades will spend a week making festive, easy, and oh so delectable snacks for all occasions. Your kids will have a ball getting their hands dirty and learning super new skills. This camp is open to Grades K–3.
Kids’ Culinary Camp 201: Cooking for the Very Tall. Grades 4-9
This camp runs from 9am-3pm. Fasten your seatbelts! It’s time for kids to get serious about food. This fun-filled camp invites kids to enter the world of culinary adventure. They will master valuable new kitchen skills while creating delicious dishes and tantalizing treats. Explore the ABC’s of food prep from bountiful breakfasts to messy midnight snacks, with a side order of etiquette, manners, and décor. Watch your kids get excited about cooking! This camp is open to Grades 4–9.
This half-day camp is from 9am to 12:30pm (after care is available until 3pm). This camp provides a very special experience because it offers campers the opportunity to learn a variety of musical instruments at the beginning level (campers who attended previously are also welcome). Campers are offered 4 classes plus chorus, and a recess time with healthy snacks. On Friday, the campers perform a concert for the parents which is awesome! This camp is open to Grades K – 8.
The classes offered are: Violin: K-8, Percussion: K-8, Music Games: K-3, Recorder: 3-5, Flute: 4-8, Keyboard: 3-8, Ukulele: 4-8, Guitar: 4-8, Cello: 4-8, Dance: K-8
Art camp runs from Monday, July 22nd to Friday July 26th and is a fun-filled learning experience from 9am – 3pm. Each day your child will take 4 classes – drawing, painting, sculpture, and photography. Participants learn about color, value, form, line vs. shape, and perspective. We explore a large variety of media and styles. The goal is to open up an avenue of creativity for each child, improving skills and introducting new ones. The creative week culminates with a gallery showing on Saturday, July 27th from 10am – 12noon. This camp is open to Grades K through 12.
VBS – Vacation Bible School: On Your Mark, Get Set, Go!
It’s a race unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. A race filled with fun clues to find, loaded with interesting challenges to attempt, and a global scavenger hunt like you’ve never seen. At the same time, it’s about another race. A race that began in the garden of Eden and continues until this day, made up of people from all time. What race? The human race where we are One Family, One Race, One Savior.
Each day begins at the Check Point Assemby, with entertaining welcomes, catchy songs, a mission moment, and a prayer. Then you’re off to four fun rotation sites: The Refueling Station – where the kids will receive clues and accept challenges; The Globetrotting Games – at this spot, the kids will attempt fun physical challenges with games from all over the world; Runaway Cafe – the snack spot! Kids will enjoy global goodies at this yummy spot while completing food-related challenges; World-Class Science & Crafts – electrifying science experiments to perform, creative crafts to invent, high energy songs to sing, and fun memory verse games to play! Come and join us on our amazing race! This camp is open to 3yrs/potty-trained- Grade 6.
Loch Leven Christian Camp and Conference Center is sponsored by the Pacific Southwest Region of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ.) It is located in the San Bernardino National Forest, above Mentone, Ca. Each year we encourage the children and youth from our church to attend summer camp, along with hundreds of other Christian youth from Southern California and Nevada. For over 50 years Loch Leven has been helping our youth build relationships with Jesus Christ, creating opportunities to develop leadership skills, and bonding with others who share a love for God and the outdoors. There is also Jan Camp for Middle Schoolers and Feb Camp for High Schoolers.
